Wisconsin Hunting Property For Sale
Located in northwest Chippewa County, Wisconsin, this 120 acre property is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream come true. From the seven acre private lake and beautiful hardwood ridges that surround it, to the rustic cabin that overlooks a true wilderness paradise; this place perfectly defines the term “escape from the rat race”. And with the property being located at the end of a gated, mile-long private driveway, solitude is guaranteed.
The nearly 20 square miles of surrounding road-less forest provides thousands of acres of ideal habitat for many species of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, black bear, wild turkey, grouse and woodcock.
In addition, the lake with its inflowing and outflowing streams (and the bordering marshes), plays host to many species of waterfowl, especially during the fall migration period. Canada geese, mallards, wood ducks and teal are regular visitors. Northern pike and panfish are the most abundant fish in the lake.
There also are two established food plots on the property, both located in key wildlife movement areas. The newest and bigger of these plots already has a Banks Stump 4 Blind and a Banks 300 gallon wildlife watering system in place. Animals that frequent the plots include deer, bear, turkeys, grouse, wood ducks, squirrels and many species of songbirds.
Over the past several years we’ve managed to collect a wealth of scouting camera photos of big whitetail bucks at our property. Just as importantly, it seems we always have a good crop of up-and-coming bucks in the immediate area.
An added bonus of this unique property is that it’s located just a short drive from the huge Chippewa County Forest Area. Here you’ll find thousands of acres of public forestland with numerous trails that have been established for hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ATV use. In addition, almost the entire Chippewa County Forest is open to public hunting and fishing. And there just happens to be dozens of fish-filled lakes within the Forest.
Also, one of the area’s premier panfish lakes is located only a few miles to the west of the property. Marshmiller Lake has a widely-known reputation for consistently producing daily limits of bluegills and crappies. Marshmiller also is one of the few remaining area lakes that boasts a daily bag limit of 25 panfish.
Though the property provides the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, a 15 minute drive will take you to a nearby town where you can find all the usual amenities, including a grocery store, two hardware stores, a drug store, several convenience stores, a half-dozen restaurants and more. The town also has a branch Mayo Clinic and Hospital.
